The Mind of Abstract Artist
Wouldn’t it be horrible if everyone could read your mind?
Now, be honest. How many times have you smiled and said something
pleasant and then in your mind, added the “rest of the story”, all the while smiling at the person you have just mentally sent to realms unknown. At that point you are probably very glad they can’t read your mind.
The abstract artist, unlike you with your smiling face that hides your

true thoughts and feelings, cannot hide his or her thoughts and feelings. It will be revealed in the painting. You may not understand what he is saying – but the artist will know.
Abstract art paintings are not about the expression of the reality. Rather, they are more focused on expressing the artist’s perception of the reality. Nevertheless, like all paintings, most of the time the artist does base his painting around a subject. However, that subject cannot always be easily identified. The painting can be simplified or exaggerated, depending on the artist’s moods and feelings. When you actually look at an abstract art painting, it is not the subject you’re looking at, but rather a glimpse into the mind of the artist.
An abstract art painting is all about brush strokes and colors. These two ingredients create the texture and impression of the painting. Generally these paintings reflect depth through innumerable swirls, curves and angles that may not be recognizable to your eyes but do evoke a number of emotions and feelings in your heart. A well-made abstract painting generally mystifies its audience, which is left wondering about the true
inspiration or the subject of the masterpiece.
Through history, a number of famous painters like Picasso, Van Gogh, Braque, and Cezzane have delved into the field of abstract art. Actually these paintings are all about breaking of conventions and traditional painting methods. It is about making people exercise their imagination and concentrate on bringing their emotions out on the canvas rather than just coping a building, landscape or scenery.
Abstract art is not only a visual treat, but also a great instrument to bring out all those long suppressed feelings in children and adults. Since this form of art is not bound by rules or regulations, people can actually give a vent to their feelings through brush strokes and colors. It helps in relieving pent up stress and tension, and also helps to communicate your feelings.
Abstract art is all about the abstract; feelings, thoughts and emotions, things that run our world!
